1, Why did you choose Hong Kong Language School?

— Compared to other language schools, I found the website to be well-arranged and easy to understand. I thought the course fees were reasonable for Hong Kong and made use of the discount offer for early payment. The location of the school was also very important to me: it is very central.

2, How’s the school environment?

— The environment was very pleasant: clean (as was the rest of the building), the receptionists were very friendly, and there was always free tea, coffee, and little snacks for everyone in the entrance/leisure area. With the school being on one of the upper floors, the rooms are quite light. The outside environment, too, is very convenient, with lots of small places to have lunch at, a mall to have coffee down the road, and MTR as well as tram stops within a few minutes’ walking distance.

3, How’s the class atmosphere?

— The first course I took was for learning and practising speaking: my 4 other classmates were from places all over the world and we soon started meeting for lunch, etc. Altogether, the atmosphere was very friendly and also interesting as there was a noticable cultural exchange as well.

4, How’s your teacher? Was your class effective? Did you learn what you had expected?

— The teacher of the first course I attended tried to respond to everone’s particular needs, and was very attentive to help with individual difficulties (pronunciation, etc.) In the second course I took, I was on my own, to learn and practise writing characters. The teacher encouraged me a lot and contributed to?my lasting enthusiasm for Mandarin. The classes were both very effective and gave me a good start into learning Mandarin (I still take lessons now back in Europe).

5, Will you recommend Hong Kong Language School to your friends?

— I will recommend HKLS to anyone who wants to study Chinese in Hong Kong. For all the above reasons 😉
