Cantonese Beginners Level 2 Day Time class (13/2- 24/2, 2012)

” I have previously completed a beginner course in Cantonese elsewhere, where I learned the Yale Romanization. I was keen to find another course that offered the same method, and was pleased to learn that HKLS did. I found out about HKLS on the internet – the website had a lot of information including course dates and prices. The school itself is in a convenient location, and is a pleasant environment. The class I was in had 3 students, which meant more teacher-student time per student. Kam was out teacher; she was excellent. She followed both the course outline, as well as being flexible enough to include extra things we asked for, and explained things very well – including word origins. We were given plenty of opportunity to practice pronunciation and the chance to put together sentences while getting constructive feedback. The course was well designed and develops in a logical way, the course booklets were also well developed. I was very happy with the course and teaching method.

I definitely will be doing more lessons as soon as I can arrange the time, as it is an excellent way to learn Cantonese. I would also recommend HKLS to anyone looking for a language school because it offers a variety of lesson structures (intense / part time / one-on-one), at very reasonable rates, and is a very good, attentive and friendly school.’
